Meet Juan Ciudad NGO
Juan Ciudad NGO (JCONGD) is a Non-Governmental Development Organization (NGDO) created by the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God (OHSJD) in Spain in 1991, which works in the social and health field from International Cooperation, for Sustainable Human Development and the defense of human rights, with special attention to the right to health, promoting access for all people to social and health care services, its area of action being the most disadvantaged regions on the planet.
JCONGD's counterparts are the Hospitals and social health centres of the OHSJD in impoverished countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Mission, Vision and Values
Mission
To achieve its objectives, JCONGD works for health care and promotion with emergency, rehabilitation, promotion and development projects, channeling human, technical and economic resources and products in kind, obtained through subsidies from public organizations and private entities.
Vision
JCONGD is an organization that advocates for the defense of the rights of the sick and marginalized, and joins and participates with other organizations or platforms in their defense.
The work of the Foundation is based on collective strategies that prioritize the common over the individual, and defends responsibility, commitment and generosity.

The OHSJD culture promoted by JCONGD has a series of values that are: Hospitality, Quality, Respect, Responsibility and Spirituality. For this reason, we work from openness, caring for the welcome, providing comprehensive care to the person, disseminating and promoting the rights of the patient, prioritizing the humanization of care, favoring personal relationships, as well as technical-professional preparation according to each era and possibilities.

Personal hygiene products (gel, shampoo, hand soap, sponges) and cleaning products (powdered laundry soap, floor disinfectants, etc.)

Rice, powdered milk, oil, canned vegetables (fried and crushed tomatoes, vegetable stew), canned products (tuna)…
Shipping Equipment
Stretchers, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, delivery tables, incubators, ultrasound machines, IV poles, respirators, X-ray machines, etc.
Autonomous delegations Juan Ciudad NGO
Juan Ciudad NGO has 14 delegations distributed throughout Spain in the Autonomous Communities where there is a Center of the Hospital Order.
He directly responsible of each Delegation is the person proposed by the Provincial Definitory and appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Juan Ciudad Foundation. It has powers that give it sufficient authority to carry out its mission.
The primary function of the delegated person is to represent Juan Ciudad as an NGO before the Public Bodies, Private Entities and Individuals of the Autonomous Community for which it has been appointed. It also participates in coordination and awareness-raising activities for the development of its field.
In the Headquarters promotes coordination of Autonomous Delegations, demands are addressed and questions regarding the work of each Delegation will be addressed.
