We sent 8 tons of humanitarian aid to Saint Joseph's Catholic Hospital in Monrovia.

A new 20-foot (almost 34 cubic meters) container weighing more than 9 tons left the Juan Ciudad ONGD Humanitarian Aid warehouse this Wednesday, February 24, bound for Saint Joseph's Catholic Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia, to support the center's work.

The shipment includes hospital supplies, wheelchairs, non-perishable food, and hygiene and cleaning products, among others.

This hospital is currently in a post-Ebola state, as although the epidemic has been declared over, the center is still not at 1,000 TP3T capacity. Currently, it treats approximately 1,000 people per month, primarily women and children, in the maternal and child care wards.

Aid is still desperately needed for the hospital, which is slowly becoming a healthcare hub in Liberia. The existing facilities for caring for sick people and pregnant women have been severely damaged by the epidemic and remain inadequate to meet the needs of the population.

From Juan Ciudad NGO, we would like to thank the individuals, institutions, and companies that have collaborated to make this new shipment of Humanitarian Aid possible:

Among many others, we highlight Prim Suministros MĂ©dicos SA, the Atabal Foundation, the SJD Ciempozuelos Center, Brother Francisco Vallejos (SJD Sant Boi de Llobregat), the SJD Madrid Hostel, the SJD Seville Hospital, and the JesĂșs Abandonado Murcia Foundation.
