This Monday, Juan Ciudad NGO sent a new 14-ton container of humanitarian aid to the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Lunsar, Sierra Leone.
The shipment includes hospital and orthopedic supplies, as well as hospital clothing (blankets, sheets), canned food, pasta, rice, oil, etc., and cleaning and personal hygiene products.
This hospital has a staff of 130 and serves nearly 1,000 patients per month in various healthcare services, including an outpatient clinic, a maternity unit, a pediatric unit, general surgery, a laboratory, a radiology unit, and 30 inpatient beds.
Lunsar Hospital continues triage of suspected Ebola cases, although the WHO declared the end of the international emergency last month, given the possibility of small outbreaks.

We would like to thank the donors to our organization, as well as the SJD centers in Murcia (Albergue JesĂșs Abandonado), Madrid (Albergue SJD), Ciempozuelos (Centro SJD) and Germans SJD (Barcelona), as well as the companies PRIM Suministros MĂ©dicos SA (Madrid) and APIS (through the Atabal Foundation), among others, who have made this new shipment possible.
