This afternoon, there will be demonstrations in more than 25 cities across Spain and other European countries to denounce the EU-Türkiye Preliminary Agreement as unlawful and unethical and must be stopped. See the cities with concentrations here.
According to a manifesto signed by various organizations (including the Coordinating Committee of Development NGOs of Spain, of which Juan Ciudad ONGD is a member), the EU-Turkey pre-agreement is stated as: "Shameful, illegal, and violates the International Charter of Human Rights, Article 19 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, and the Geneva Convention on Refugees. In light of this situation, they urge the acting Spanish government not to support this agreement at the European Council meeting on March 17 and 18, calling for citizen rallies on March 16."
