Volunteer Marta Franco, a nurse with experience in community health, sent us these photos from Amrahia, Ghana.

Marta Franco LĂłpez, an international volunteer nurse with Juan Ciudad NGO, has experience in community health and has been collaborating in community nursing activities at the San Juan de Dios Clinic in Amrahia, Accra, Ghana, since May.

We're sharing some photos she just sent us from there of the visits she makes with the center's nursing team in the Amrahia area.

These campaigns aim to recruit patients for the well-child program for children up to age 4, which is carried out at the clinic and guarantees regular check-ups for these children, for the benefit of their health.

Amrahia is an area near the suburbs of Accra, the capital of Ghana, and belongs to the Tema municipality, one of the five districts of the Greater Accra Region.

The Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God began providing healthcare in the Amrahia area from a small clinic in 2011. The current clinic opened in October 2015, and has been very well received by the community.

In addition to serving its area of influence, it attracts patients from throughout the region. This clinic is part of the Ghana Health Service and also serves as the focal point for health education and preventive medicine services provided to the communities within its area of influence. The clinic's staff also conducts various community health activities focused on improving the quality of life of the local population.
