Vocational training students from the Jesuit school in Burgos present Juan Ciudad NGO with its 17th Solidarity Award.

Vocational training students from the Jesuit school in Burgos presented the 17th Solidarity Award to Juan Ciudad NGO, in recognition of the work of the Hospitaller Order during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.

The award was collected by Brother JosĂ© MÂȘ Viadero, director of Juan Ciudad NGO, and presented by JosĂ© Bono, former President of the Congress of Deputies.

The event took place in the Caja de Burgos Foundation auditorium yesterday, March 14, and during the ceremony, a certificate was presented to the students participating in their school's Social Volunteer Program.

JosĂ© MÂȘ Viadero stated that "the recognition of our work is a very special encouragement," since "the war against Ebola has not yet been won, as there are still after-effects, and it's important to feel supported by awards like this."

The Hospitaller Order currently maintains two active hospitals in Monrovia (Liberia) and Lunsar (Sierra Leone), where more than 2,000 people are treated each month in important areas such as maternal and child health, in addition to providing treatment for infectious diseases that have a significant impact on the population, such as malaria and respiratory diseases.
