On Tuesday, June 12, Kerox Technology delivered the telemedicine kit it designed in conjunction with the San Rafael Nebrija University Center in Madrid and the San Juan de Dios Foundation in Madrid. This kit is part of a cooperative social and healthcare project managed by Juan Ciudad NGO and the San Juan de Dios Clinic in Iquitos, in the Peruvian jungle.

This suitcase will be taken to Peru after the summer and will be a support tool within the community health project that the Clinic and the NGO have been developing since May 2017 in four settlements in the Iquitos area, for health prevention and promotion in the surrounding area, through the figure of Community Health Agents (CHAs).
Currently, there are four Promoters and 16 ACS (Associated Workers' Compensation) who have been trained to inform and share knowledge with their neighbors, as well as serve as liaisons with the relevant health institutions. The initiative has a dual function:
- On the one hand, it seeks effective health promotion and prevention.
- On the other hand, it is intended to demonstrate that, through the ACS figure, the incidence of prevalent diseases in the area can be effectively reduced.
To address this second objective, a telemedicine kit has been designed with the necessary measuring devices, which will allow for a situational diagnosis of the population, facilitating data collection by Community Health Promoters and Agents.
This kit contains the necessary tools to measure a series of parameters (oxygen saturation, pulse, blood pressure, glucose, hematocrit and hemoglobin, and Zika), and health promoters will make home visits to perform the relevant tests on beneficiaries.
Once the results are obtained, they will be stored and updated periodically, so that the influence of the ACS's activity on the health of these communities can be observed and measured.
The community health project is managed by Juan Ciudad NGO and funded by the San Juan de Dios Foundation of the Province of Castilla, the Hospitaller Order of the Holy Family, and the Regional Government of Castilla y LeĂłn.
