This week the food from the Juan Ciudad NGO has arrived at the warehouse in Madrid. Give Us The Can Campaign The San Juan de Dios Center in Valladolid and the San Juan de Dios Assistance Center in Palencia have celebrated another year, and in total they have managed to collect 1,957 kilos of canned and preserved food, as well as some cleaning and hygiene products.
The food and these products will be sent in Juan Ciudad NGO Humanitarian Aid containers to the hospitals and centers of the Hospitaller Order in Africa and Latin America, where people with limited resources and in vulnerable situations are cared for.
This campaign involved workers, volunteers, and users of the centers in Valladolid and Palencia, with the latter city collecting the most kilos, thanks to the participation of several social centers, universities, and parish communities.

Food collection is very important for supporting the humanitarian aid sent to countries such as Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Peru, and Cuba, among others, as it will support the social and healthcare work carried out by numerous hospitals and centers. It is also an awareness-raising and hospitality initiative that always generates a multitude of displays of support and solidarity from the many people who donate their altruistic contributions to us.

For all this, from Juan Ciudad ONGD we appreciate the involvement in the Give Us The Can Campaign to the representative of this organization in Castile and LeĂłn, Raquel Juanes, who works at the SJD Center in Valladolid, as well as to Luis TurriĂłn, Volunteer Coordinator at the SJD Assistance Center in Palencia; and to all the people who support them and have collaborated to make this new edition a success.
In addition to the nearly 2 tons of food and cleaning and hygiene products collected, the managers of the organization's Humanitarian Aid warehouse have brought 130 kilos of clothing handmade by female volunteers from Campaspero, whom we once again thank for their dedication and commitment.
Below are the entities and institutions that have participated in the Give Us a Tin Campaign in Palencia: various faculties of "La Yutera" (UVA university campus), the "Dr. Dacio Crespo" University School of Nursing, the Popular University of Palencia (UPP), the "LĂłpez de Vicuña" and "Academia EdĂ©n" Vocational Training Centers; educational communities of various schools and institutes, such as "La Salle Palencia" school, the Trinidad Arroyo public high school, etc.; the City Council's Day Centers in the "La Puebla" and "San Juanillo" neighborhoods; as well as the "JosĂ© MÂȘ Fdez.
