Juan Ciudad NGO joins this initiative of the San Juan de Dios Volunteer Team - Spain Province, to celebrate this day with all those who participate in the institution's volunteer work and also in the international volunteer work promoted by this organization.
According to the United Nations, more than one billion people volunteer worldwide in the name of solidarity and humanity, for people and the planet. International Volunteer Day (DIV), December 5, is an exceptional occasion to GIVE THANKS and pay tribute to volunteers around the world and recognize the value of volunteering in promoting peace and development.
This year, we celebrate IVD by recognizing the power of collective action: if everyone did it.
If we all got involved in volunteer activitiesThe world would be a better place. Could you imagine more than eight billion of us doing things for the most disadvantaged people? Unlimited possibilities for sustainable development would emerge: food and education for all, a clean environment and good health, inclusive and peaceful societies, and much more.
Volunteering is an opportunity for society to raise awareness of solidarity, as the world faces increasing challenges, Volunteers are often the first to help, are at the forefront of crisis and emergency situations.
Since 1985, the San Juan de Dios volunteer group has joined the United Nations initiative to celebrate this day and thank the volunteers who participate:
- Thank you for sharing your time.
- Thank you for choosing us to do your Volunteer work.
- Thank you for your commitment and responsibility to carry it out.
- Thank you for being part of the team and contributing to the Hospitality of this institution.
Thanks for accept the challenge to get involved in the most exclusive realities of our society and also in those of the impoverished countries with which Ciudad ONGD cooperates.
Share this message, in which you, today, are the protagonist. Let's celebrate together.
