Once again this year, we strengthen our commitment to transparency and accountability, publicizing our international development cooperation efforts to improve health in impoverished countries.
2022 was the second year of implementation of our 2021-2024 Institutional Strategic Plan, which aims to consolidate Juan Ciudad NGO as a benchmark for development cooperation for the Hospitaller Order in Spain and to achieve a consolidated financing model supported by our partners and donors, as well as public and private funding. The Plan has been fully implemented in 961 days, which encourages us to continue working along these lines.
Regarding support for San Juan de Dios centers in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, we continue to lead coordination with the health centers in these regions through Joint Coordination Committees, which include representatives from the San Juan de Dios health centers in those regions. This has allowed us to improve the efficiency of our actions through the development of 42 projects totaling âŹ1.2 million, directly benefiting nearly 300,000 people.
