Due to the critical situation in the province of ManabĂ, which suffered the worst effects of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale last Saturday, April 16, the San Juan de Dios Shelter yesterday sent two trucks from Quito with food, drinking water, household goods, clothing, etc. to the town of Pedernales, one of the hardest hit.
The Community of the Brothers of Saint John of God of Quito and numerous collaborators and volunteers continue to work intensively to deliver aid as quickly as possible to the people in the affected areas.
We appreciate all the help we can receive.
