Ana Meyer, project coordinator for Juan Ciudad NGO, is in Lima, Peru, this week, with Brothers and other members of the OH, for the Meeting of the Regional Commission for Cooperation and Solidarity of Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God of this region.
Among the topics discussed were the exchange of experiences and lessons learned, the analysis of lines of work for the Latin American and Caribbean region between the centers and other charitable entities of the Hospitaller Order, as well as project management for development cooperation, twinning, volunteering, and fundraising.
All of this is aimed at improving the Hospitaller Order's response to the social and health needs of thousands of vulnerable people who receive care at San Juan de Dios hospitals and centers in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The meeting was held from September 30 to October 4.
