On November 14th, a volunteer medical team affiliated with the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE) traveled through Juan Ciudad ONGD to San José Hospital in Monrovia, a center managed by the Order of Saint John of God in Liberia's capital, to conduct a pediatric plastic surgery campaign that will continue until November 25th.

The purpose of this campaign, promoted by Juan Ciudad NGO in collaboration with SECPRE and San José Hospital, is to support surgical activity at this center and enable low-income individuals, especially children suffering from various pathologies such as cleft lip, cleft palate, burn injuries, and other foot and hand conditions, to improve their health and living conditions, as well as optimize the necessary resources and efforts.

To this end, the Hospital's management, led by Brother Peter L. Dawoh, in the months prior to the start of the campaign, proceeded to disseminate the campaign among the local population through radio, the press, and the distribution of posters, reaching up to 300 people.
During this first week of the campaign, the surgical team has operated on 30 people and seen more than 150 in consultations. This mission continues the other campaigns that have been carried out for more than ten years in centers of the Order of Saint John of God in Latin America, in collaboration with SECPRE.
