Juan Ciudad NGO sends 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Ghana and Senegal

This May, two new containers containing 30 tons of humanitarian aid have left the country, including hospital supplies, medicines, and food, for the two Dalal-Xel Mental Health Centers in Fatick and Thies (Senegal), and the St. John of God Clinic in Amrahia, Accra (Ghana).

Due to the scarcity of resources and the difficulty in acquiring certain products in the local market, Juan Ciudad NGO periodically sends humanitarian aid to its centers and hospitals in Africa and America.

On this occasion, hospital supplies (gloves, toiletries, uniforms, clogs, towels, sheets, etc.), wheelchairs, food (canned goods, rice, pasta, legumes, etc.), and medicines have been sent to the centers in Senegal in collaboration with Farmamundi.

Equipment (a laboratory centrifuge, a refrigerated chest, a hydraulic stretcher, tables, medication and instrument carts), materials for blood and urine tests, twelve computers, toiletries and cleaning products, clothing and footwear, and canned food, rice, legumes, etc., have been sent to the Accra Clinic.

These shipments are made possible thanks to donations from Juan Ciudad NGO donors, as well as the solidarity of the San Juan de Dios centers in Spain and other institutions and companies.

For humanitarian aid shipments to Senegal and Ghana, we highlight among other donors: ASPY Prevención (Madrid), BMW Spain (Madrid), Prim Suministros Médicos (Madrid), H&M Spain, and OH Centers in Murcia, Seville, Madrid, Ciempozuelos, and Barcelona. We are especially grateful for the funding from the Parc Sanitary SJD (Sant Boi de Llobregat) for the purchase of medication for Thiés.
