The company has donated more than a hundred sanitary devices that will be sent to countries where Juan Ciudad ONGD has a presence.
Juan Ciudad NGO has received a donation of medical supplies from Allianz Partners, which will be sent to the countries where we operate, supporting the most vulnerable communities. This collaboration involves the assistance and insurance company donating nearly 100 essential items for people's healthcare.
The materials donated by Allianz Partners include medical tools and equipment that are common in developed countries but are in short supply in poorer countries. The materials provided by the company include laryngoscopes, glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, thermal blankets, respirators, and cardiac defibrillators.
This highly valuable initiative highlights the need to promote collaboration between private entities and organizations that collaborate with the development of the world's most disadvantaged areas, such as Juan Ciudad ONGD.
In November, Allianz Partners celebrates Solidarity Month, "a corporate commitment that the company aims to bring to life through various internal initiatives with its employees and external initiatives through non-profit organizations." It is within this context that this collaboration between Juan Ciudad ONGD and Allianz Partners is part of, which has allowed the company to receive medical supplies that will facilitate access to healthcare for people in the most disadvantaged environments. The donated supplies will be sent from Allianz Partners' headquarters in Madrid to the countries where Juan Ciudad operates in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Gonzalo Sales, director of Juan Ciudad NGO, states that "this donation from Allianz Partners represents essential support for the development of healthcare activities at the Order of Saint John of God centers in the African and Latin American countries where we operate, as access to certain products in local markets is practically impossible, either due to a lack of them or their high price." Sales also hopes "that this will be the beginning of a long-term collaboration to improve the situation of many impoverished people and facilitate their access to healthcare services, especially in these times."
For her part, Beatriz G. Toribio, Head of Sustainability at Allianz Partners Spain, points out that âmedical supplies are essential, but equally expensive and especially inaccessible to developing countries. As a healthcare company whose mission is to support people in their care and health, we wanted to provide this material to Juan Ciudad NGO, an organization responsible for the proper distribution of resources to those most in need, a logistically complex task that is possible thanks to them.â
