Juan Ciudad NGO receives 2,000 euros from One Magazine's 2015 Todo Courage Award, which will be donated to Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Brother JosĂ© MÂȘ Viadero, director of Juan Ciudad NGO, yesterday received a donation of 2,000 euros for the 2015 Todo Coraje Award from One Magazine, presented by JosĂ© Luis Cortina Prieto, President of the Atenea Group, and Azucena HernĂĄndez, editorial director of the Atenea Group.

According to JosĂ© MÂȘ Viadero, "This recognition motivates and encourages us to continue our work, for which we are very grateful. It also allows us to keep the flame alive so that the poverty faced by many people in other countries is not forgotten, as well as the importance of continuing to support the hospitals in Liberia and Sierra Leone that survived the Ebola epidemic, as there is still much to be done."

For his part, José Luis Cortina emphasized that this award aims to highlight the importance of values such as solidarity and commitment to the most disadvantaged, "with the Hospitaller Order serving as an example for the great work it carries out in so many countries around the world on behalf of the sick and vulnerable."

The funds received from this award will be used for two surgical campaigns that a team of volunteer doctors will carry out this April and May at St. Joseph's Hospital in Monrovia (Liberia) and St. John of God Hospital in Lunsar (Sierra Leone).

After the check was presented, One Magazine conducted an interview with JosĂ© MÂȘ Viadero, as seen in the photo.
