JCONGD has shipped 12 containers so far this year, five of which were double containers, totaling 124 tons. "Seven of these containers have been sent to hubs in Africa and five to Latin America," says Manuel Muñoz, manager of JCONGD's logistics support warehouse in Madrid.
Specifically, they have been sent to hospitals and centers of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God in LomĂ© (Togo), Iquitos (Peru), Thies and Fatick (Senegal), Piura (Peru), Monrovia (Liberia), Havana and CamagĂŒey (Cuba), Lunsar (Sierra Leone), Asafo (Ghana).
Among the products requested by the San Juan de Dios centers and hospitals in these locations are equipment, orthopedic and hospital supplies (gauze, bandages, gloves, diapers, sheets, uniforms, towels), wheelchairs, walkers, hygiene and cleaning supplies, and non-perishable foods such as rice, pasta, legumes, tuna, cookies, powdered milk, etc.

These shipments support the maintenance of the centers' social and health services and are made possible thanks to the solidarity of many individuals, Brothers and collaborators, private entities, and San Juan de Dios centers in Spain.
