Last year, the international cooperation organization of the Brothers of St. John of God in Spain managed 45 development projects in Africa, Latin America, and Asia (32 of them new). This directly benefited 619,496 sick or vulnerable people, who received care at St. John of God centers and hospitals in 14 impoverished countries.
In addition, in 2019, more than 330 awareness-raising actions were carried out in Spain, promoted by the Juan Ciudad ONGD Headquarters and the 14 Regional Delegations located in San Juan de Dios centers in our country, which directly reached more than 107,000 people.
On the other hand, the NGO counted on the collaboration of 58 volunteers (31 in the international volunteer program), and 21 containers were sent from the Logistics Support Service, containing 211,565 kilos of hospital products and food.
All this is thanks to the collaboration and donations of numerous individuals and public and private entities, as well as the OHSJD (Provinces in Spain, the Curia of Rome, and SJD centers).
