What We Do
Juan Ciudad ONGD (JCONGD) sends containers with medical supplies periodically and mainly food.
We provide extensive support to our network of San Juan de Dios centers in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, ensuring that they can respond to the needs of the population served due to the occasional lack of material and/or financial resources.
We collect donations in kind from social-health centres and hospitals in Spain and from private companies, we carry out non-perishable food collection campaigns and we involve San Juan de Dios centres in donating medical supplies in perfect condition for use. We send the requested supplies by sea using full containers, to places where they are needed and where we have been requested, while guaranteeing the best quality-price ratio for transport through transparent and agreed procedures.
In short, we work to improve the capabilities of our healthcare centres and contribute to offering a quality service with responsibility and respect wherever it is needed.

Rice, powdered milk, oil, canned vegetables (fried and crushed tomatoes, vegetable stew), canned products (tuna)…

Personal hygiene products (gel, shampoo, hand soap, sponges) and cleaning products (powdered laundry soap, floor disinfectants, etc.)
Shipping Equipment
Stretchers, wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, delivery tables, incubators, ultrasound machines, IV poles, respirators, X-ray machines, etc.

How Humanitarian Logistics Works
Corporate donations
Thanks to the solidarity of our partners and donors, who collaborate to cover the shipping costs, as well as to purchase the products or materials that are needed.
We also receive large donations from San Juan de Dios hospitals and centers in Spain, as well as from companies and other institutions that collaborate with JCONGD.
In addition, our organization promotes campaigns in different cities in Spain through our regional delegations «Give us a hard time» to collect food and «Clean destiny» to collect hygiene and personal care products.
