Eugenio Alonso, JCONGD delegate in the Basque Country, held a meeting on the Basque Youth Cooperation Program.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last in-person meeting convened by the management of Juventud Vasca Cooperante was in early 2020. “Since then, communications with this organization have been via email or telephone, and with the intention of not leaving the Juventud Vasca Cooperante Program blank for 2021, the management contacted all the organizations that presented international volunteer projects in order to gather information on our objectives for this year,” explained Eugenio Alonso, delegate in the Basque Country.

Subsequently, management informed the organizations of its desire to continue running the program, asking for an effort to channel future collaborations, despite the existing uncertainty. "Therefore, from the Juan Ciudad NGOD delegation in the Basque Country, we respond that the organization's decision this year is to continue working on international volunteering," stated Eugenio Alonso, "but due to the current circumstances, it will be online, so collaborations will be virtual with the SJD Centers in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, as stated in the proposal we sent you for International Volunteering 2021."

In addition, this delegation is contacting the professional associations of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Physicians, and Nurses to present this International Volunteering proposal for this year.
