The Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God is launching this campaign to request urgent assistance and collaborate with the mission the Brothers are carrying out at the Saint John of God center located in the city of Drohobych, Ukraine, as well as at the Order's five other centers in Poland, where social and healthcare and basic needs are being provided to hundreds of people fleeing the war.
According to the Brothers there, more people and families fleeing the war are arriving every day, needing medical support, food, and shelter; and the number is expected to continue to increase in the coming days.
For this reason, we are raising funds that will be sent directly to help these refugees, through the humanitarian aid work that the San Juan de Dios centers in Poland and Ukraine have begun to carry out in the wake of the conflict.
The Brothers have been there since 1922, caring for sick or vulnerable children and adults, including people with disabilities, the elderly, and those at risk of exclusion.
