The Telethon is a fundraising campaign with numerous televised events aimed at raising donations for centers in Peru, including the San Juan de Dios Clinic in Cuzco, and promoting the values of the Hospitaller Order through highly visual and awareness-raising commercials.

There is a foundation in charge of managing these donations, which can be both financial and material. Many famous people are involved in "La Teletón," such as Gisela Valcárcel—a well-known children's entertainer in Peru—who visited us to support the project and encourage all of Peru to participate in the event and make donations.

A program called CTC also came to the Cuzco Clinic to broadcast its live program featuring the hospital's children and staff. Afterward, a local company heavily involved with the Order's volunteers invited and accompanied the children from the SJD Home to a movie.

Every day there's an event in different parts of the city and beyond, encouraging people to participate in this great event, whether as a volunteer or spectator, by having the event's advertising painted on their car or by making a donation.

"The Telethon" is a major event, celebrated with great excitement throughout the country and undoubtedly spreading the values of the Order of Saint John of God, which are in the air these days. The slogan can be heard across the country: Together We Do More!
